__________________I just wondered if a HD4850 & HD4830 can work in crossfire together because they use the same chip thank in advance

Yes they will work, although the 4850 will downclock itself to 4830 speeds.

Yes it will work. Just that the 4850's core clock will go down to 4830 speed. Just overclock them and you'll be fine.

except a 4830 has less SPs than a 4850, so just OCing wont make em even. I see you already have a 4850, you can another 4850 for $100 used on here or open box on newegg all the time, dont cheap out and get a 4830 if you already have a 4850 you want to CF.

yes. but it's gonna be like 2 4830s in crossfire.
but like what others said, just oc the 4830 with the speeds of the 4850 to make it running like 4850 in crossfire. though the 4830 has lesser sps, the 4850 is just 5% faster clock for clock so you won't notice any difference at all

Don't waste your time, get 2x4850 and you won't regret it.
__________________Back to OT, you can make them work together, but won't be as beneficial as a 4850 cf
