must be the 1gb of ram helping out, along with the massive clocks. compared to the 4870 clocks i mean.

that sounds like it could be transistor whining? my mates 8800 Ultra used to do it.
10 will stress it enough and wont cause damage overtime like furmark

Default Just got mine

Hey guys I finally made the switch. Sold my Gtx 260 and just picked up a couple XFX hd4890 XT's for $280. The only is I am completely clueless when it comes to overclocking gpu's can someone explain to me or direct me to a thread that explains how to overclock gpu's. I just need to know how overclocking certain things like memory or core can effect gaming. What can and should I overclock I don't know what overclocking the memory or cores does. Sorry I sound like a total noob I need to learn so I can get a decent overclock out of these babies. To anyone that owns these cards how far can I expect to oc them.

Oh btw my sig rig is gonna be given to my dad I'm in the process of putting an i rig together so these cards will sit in EVGA X58 mobo with i7 920 and powered by a Corsair 1000w PSU. Thanks in advance.
