Yeah, it really is all that it's hyped up to be. For some of us, anyways. I've gotten nothing but extreme performance out of mine.

Not wanting to scan through this whole thread, what kind of overclocks are you guys getting on stock-clocked 4890's with watercooling? I've got an XFX 4890 and an EK block on the way and I can't wait to tweak that thing as much as possible. Fingers crossed for 1GHz+.

If you volt mod it, it should be able to hit the 1GHz mark, but no guarantees. Every chip is different.

Drivers are an easy fix though, just roll back to an older, better one, and bam, better performance. Besides, there are probably extenuating circumstances as to your poor performance, as the 4890 has been known to outpace a GTX285 in some games.

Edit 2: Bad link.

I doubt it. Even a gtx260 is on par with it or even better in some games.

I just provided proof, lol. The stock 4890 has higher frame rates than the GTX275 in all tests, and is higher than the 285 when overclocked.

I think you can use copy paste for a broken link. And yes, I did just edit it, to fix the link.
