My brand preferences, but VisionTek has a lifetime warranty, along with XFX, Sapphire and PowerColor are usually cheaper though.
And HIS has one of the best coolers on its IceQ cards.
thanks for the info im going to go for 3 xfx i think they have always done me proud on the nvidia cards and you cant beat a double lifetime warrenty

Installed the two cards without a hitch. Ran the 9.4 betas and crossfire enabled without a single issue.

I changed motherboards so it will take some time to get my quad back to 4ghz for benching but I will do some runs at 3ghz and 3.6 shortly

I'm so freaking ILL! I got all my stuff setup and the cpu pot slammed on the i7... loaded her up with some dice and acetone.. I heard a loud snap...

WHAT IN THE CRAP!

It was my cpu pot mounting plate! Snapped it right in half.

It was holding -73c @ 1.55v too.. I had a feeling it was gonna be a 5ghz futuremark runs too! =o( I guess this weekend...

Ouch, that's a little set back. Just wasn't meant to be yet.

Edit: Robilar, how are those MSI's treating you? Just curious as I'm getting ready to purchase another for my CF setup. I'm liking the stock 880Mhz core.

That was the reason I went with them. They were the same price as the other brands with a nice factory overclock.

so far so good.

would paying the extra £40 be worth it for a 4890? over the 4870 1gb? in most benchmarks on about 15 reviews the 4890 only gets about 4 more fps on crysis

I'm hoping the answer is 'no', since I have one of the regular editions arriving tomorrow.

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to XFX. If I don't overvolt, but my card dies while overclocked, how good are they about honoring the warranty?
