Yeah, I mean this thing runs icy cold compared to any of the 4870's I've had.

Cool cards, seems like the best thing out right now.. But I am happy with my HD 4870 1G, spent 250 bucks for it at the time, and it is still kick ass. Congrats to anyone who has one though.

Has anyone else tried the ASUS BIOS on a different brand? rx7racer has me a little worried that other cards might not take the extra voltage as well. Just trying to feel around for what the best options are before I buy in the next few days.

Edit - Also can someone with crossfire run their cards in 8x mode. I'm highly debating getting two 4890's and I want to see what kind of hit it'll take (if any). I just got this EP45-UD3P I don't want to buy ANOTHER new motherboard. ><

thats it...u guys and ur new video cards are forcing me to sell my 2 hd4850s and but these 2 hd4890. Hopefully by the time I actually sell both of my 4850s the price will drop a little. I was gonna invest in a solid state drive, a tb, or external hard drive. But im pushn those back until the summer b/c these cards look killer!

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=AT-4890_1G&c=fr

hopefully i'll be able to sell the 4850s in the neighborhood of 300 bux combined

I sold my UD3P (well one of them anyway) and picked up an X48 board for that reason (and I got a new P5E Deluxe for $170 CAD, hard to resist at that price).
