Can anybody help? Is Cat 9.6 incompatible with F@H?
When does it crash? When you have the F@H Display showing (the moving DNA graphic), or when it's minimized in the system tray? If it's when the Display is showing, from what I've heard, it's a common problem for a lot of people...mine crashes like the Hindenburg after about 30 seconds. If I keep it in the system tray, it works just fine.

When I open the display. It doesn't do work though when the display is closed, does it?

I'll go check.

Attempting now. The work started (card is being stressed), and has not crashed yet.

Somebody had told me it was a Win7 problem and I had to install a fresh special ATI version of Win7, which sounded absolutely like bullcrap which is why I asked here.

It does work. Download FahMon to track your progress. Also, if you hold your cursor over the F@H symbol in your system tray, it will show something to the effect "GPU F@H - 5500/10000"

Does your CCC show that your GPU is working?

I've noticed it's a little buggy in Win7, but nothing too severe. From time to time it'll stop working, but I just close it and reopen it and it starts back up again.

this thing is a big improvement over a single 4870 thats for sure.

with the HL2 Cinematic Mod 10, i was getting like 10-20fps outside with 4xAA @ 1920x1200. seriously. inside maxed around 40 or so.

with the 4890, i pretty much get a solid 50fps everywhere, any situation, with same settings. i know the Source engine is heavily CPU influenced, but thats a pretty big performance jump. granted the clocks and RAM are much higher.

*pats card*

good boy.

I got it to work with F@HMON and it's putting out ~3000PPD, is that normal? Temps are at 69C, that's good right? CCC is reporting the card is working (98% usage).
