Going any higher on memory for me (it's at 1100 right now) results in instability. I'll try pushing my core up to 950 and working from there (930 right now).

I can't get the core above 930 without some extra voltage though. EDIT: This is on the Diamond.

Sick, hit 970MHz. I thought my card had reached its max at 930, but that's because every time I tried raising the core, I also raised the memory. I guess my max memory is 1100Mhz. Now my core is at 970MHz, running F@H right now, stable, 67C temps @ 75% fan speed.
Hm, I thought the XOC was like an ultimate card, sort of like a black edition XFX. I have a vanilla 4890 and it's doing 970 stable stock voltages. Weird. Luck of the draw I guess.

So is everyone using riva tuner to increase the voltage? Im not all about flashing bios, but I know im close to being able to run 1ghz per core on my crossfire setup and I only need a small voltage increase.

Is getting 970Mhz on stock voltages lucky/golden, or is that normal?

My MSI card could hit 970 (880 stock factory clocked)on stock voltage with the fan at 100%

Hey..
I got HD4890. It's very beautiful. But I got two problems with it: 1) On certain games you see artifacts, well.. I hope that's the correct world. But you see sharp things, messed up colors, "war of the black and white ants" (like on TV). I have no idea why. 2) It makes a lot of "electronic noise" during 3D rendering. Very annoying. It also does it when scrolling, moving mouse, opening documents etc. Anyone else have these problems? |

I assume you are not overclocked? What are your temps like. Try cranking up the fan speed manually and see if the artifacts go away.
