Hmmm I did but kept getting artifacts even when card was running cool, I may try again, I think its the up in memory that causes the artifacts not the core..

You seem to be knowledgable, Im assuming you have tweaked your settings in BIOS?

GFX dual slot configuration=auto
GFX2 =disabled
Peer to peer among GFX/GFX2 disabled
GPP slots power limit change to (75)

Port #02,the only one you need worry about=

GEN2 high speed mode =auto
Link ASPM =disabled
Link width =x16
Slot power limit =120.
While your in there go down to port #11 and do exactly the same,this is the IRQ for the other blue slot,for when you get the second 4870. Or IF rather

Do you have a clean install of 9.4 drivers?
