Well I set the details the to minimum in WoW and get around 70FPS as they should be...
Do you really think it's the CPU? It's a quad core... should be able to handle gaming...

Cause ya.. this is pretty ridiculous....

And it shouldn't be my power supply because glenbuck1914 has the exact same card and is running a 430W power supply. (However, I thought the minimum for the HD4850's was 450W?)
I don't think it's your CPU bud. I mean, the clock speed might not be the greatest but we're talking about WoW here...my old Athlon XP with an x1650 Pro AGP card in it can play WoW above 30FPS without stuttering.....

Also, do you mean 9.2 or 9.4?
The latest seems to be 9.4

Exactly! And my CPU was purchased pretty recently too - along with my motherboard.

However, we are talking max settings here too...
But from the reviews on this card I have read, they are maxed out full and running 60FPS easily with even more graphically intense games.

Thanks
9.2 is the best driver release thus far. 9.4 pretty much fixes alot of the issues with 9.3. I stick with 9.2.

And if it's Quad Core doesn't that mean is 2.2GHZ x 4?

I ran 3DMark Vantage and got

CPU Score 6233
Graphics Score 6867
Quad core doesn't mean times 4. 4 cores basically means, 4 cars running at the same speed on a highway at 100km/h. It can carry more people, but the speed doesn't add up to become 400km/h.

2.2GHz will bottleneck it, you may want to overclock a bit. It shouldn't be that bad though. Is your card overheating?

Hey KamuiRSX, i have uninstalled 9.4, and am waiting for 9.2 to boot up.
zero0zero0, I don't believe it's my CPU that is causing WoW to give 26FPS because KamuiRSX just noted

Even *with* max details 1280x1024, WoW should still be giving me 60FPS on average with my current setup - no?
