Hi, Your onboard GFX on? if you use it for one of those monitors, when you changed cards it could have flipped to your main display

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned it yet.
NFS Undercover runs horrible on any card because it's poorly coded. WoW can bog down any card, seen it lot's of times before. Disable shadows or something to get better FPS.

You guys can beat around the bush all you want, quad or not @ 1280x1024 a 2.2ghz CPU is bottlenecking his system with an HD4850. And for you guys saying WoW is not stressing older systems and getting 60+ FPS, the game has changed since then.

Keep in mind, I am getting 20ish fps in WoW with *all* settings maxed out. (Including draw distance)... But still... it isn't a very graphically intense game in the first place. I can get 60fps no prob all details set to minimum in WoW but I have even seen it drop to mid 40's with lots of characters on screen.

What sort of CPU would you recommend, Auld?

Yes, both monitors set to 4800 series. Good call though

I would honestly just go ahead and do a format/re-install. If you honestly want a new CPU, go with either the Phenom II 940 BE, the Phenom II 720 BE or even one of the 9850, 9950 BE models. But it's honestly not your CPU. Do you have a spare hard drive around? Take out your old hard drive, re-install Windows on the new hard drive and then install the 9.2 Drivers, install WoW and then play see what kind of FPS you get.

I noticed I did the Windows Experience Index using Vista (which is crap to begin with) and my score only went up 0.1 point on my graphics card... LOL 0.1 point for a card that is approximately 3 years newer!
