Well according to the eXtreme power calculator, your system with two 4870's would use ~500W at absolute 100% peak load (which you will never ever reach).

since your PSU should get about 80% efficiency, this gives you ~600-650 watts. (i don't know whether the calculator takes this into account or not)

so i would say get the second 4870, because even at max load it will still provide them sufficient power. And if it doesn't, then buy the PSU, not first up.

crossfire 4870s. you have a good 650W PSU. I'd bet your PSU could handle it A-OK as long as you don't have HDDs out the wazoo.

I don't know about the PSU or Crossfired 4870s
But!
In some games you will run in a lot of problems with crossfire.
So it might be only one of your graph cards will be used.
Now a 4830 is way less than a 4870 so you need to think about situations like this as well.
