These HD's are fine for now. Any others wont add any fps so prob not worth it.

New heatsink and an i7 CPU are the only "essential" upgrades I need right now.,

Yeah the only thing I can say you could upgrade is move to I7 and a better heatsink, but if you move to I7 your looking at a new MB, new RAM aswell.

Yeah that's thing as I built this just over a month ago, and an i7 would require a whole new architecture.

Will the i5's be compatible with P45 chipsets?

In that case I won't be upgrading to i7 for a good year or 2 yet. Next in line is a better heatsink (TRUE) so I can sit @ +4.0GHz 24/7 with sub 50c temps, then a DX11 card.

CrossFire uses the clocks of the lowest card, as the 4890 is faster clock for clock it'll be slightly better than the 4870 but the clock speed advantage is nullified.

Trust me on the hardrive, itll make everything snapier, pics and apps will load much faster, virus scans will finish quicker, and it will make a HUGE impact in games, games like Stalker, if u havea slow hd, it will stuter as its an open world consept so it constaly loads off the HD as well as gta, a single wd black would eat that raid 0 out, not only that almost all games u play it will still use the page file for sertain things, think of it this way ur comp is as strong as its weekest link, u got a 3.8ghz cpu, but that cpu and gona start processing untill that hd delivers its content.

I was wondering which set of drivers you all use? I presume the 4800 series? I was curious as I see the 4890 drivers as well.
