I'm wondering what the best programs are, what the max safe temps are, and what the methodology is for OC'ing 4890's. I have a HIS 4890.

google "Rivatuner v2.24"
run it and install it. Skim this article or read it, your choice. Check XS for this plugin and download it Plugin download link. Rivatuner allows you to chance core/mem clocks as well as fan speed. Plugin allows you to chance vcore on the fly.

I've used both CCC and Rivatuner on mine, both seem to work pretty good. The highest mine ever gets is ~65c.

What are you setting your fan speed at? Mine is at 42%, and it never goes over 68 degrees even with heavy gaming.
