I got my 4770 a couple of days ago and I'm having problems getting it to overclock. With the overdrive utility it will go up to 810/850 which seems pretty minimal compared to a lot of oc results floating around. My problem is when I use rivatuner, even clocking 10Mhz up from stock on either core or mem I just get a blank or green screen and need to reset to get back into windows.

I'm new to gpu overclocking so I'm hoping it's just me doing something stupid! I'm using Xp x64 is there some problems with this OS maybe? I installed the x64 update for rivatuner so I thought it should be ok and did the config file edit to get the 4770 recognized. The card itself is the xfx 4770 with the dual slot cooler, temps don't seem to be the problem though as with the 810/850 overdrive OC and 50% constant fan it doesn't go above ~66degrees.

Any ideas?

hey, I currently have a Sapphire 4770 in the post and am looking at all the modding etc, what is so good about the ASUS bios and how would you go about flashing it to a non-asus card?
