ATI HD 4770 Owners Club/Thread

im bouta go get the xfx one thats in stock now..but ofcourse..single card..i dont heavy game..but..its for the price tag..i can almost get a 4870 here at OCN...suggestions?

if you can get a 4870 for $100 on here definetly get that. but the 4770 can play cod5 at 1920x1080 getting an average of 100 fps with AA and AF turned off if that helps at all. its a great card and im very happy with it. The 4770 overclocks great. I want to buy the xfx one but im a broke college kid.

I hear ya brother, I want a 2nd xfx card but cannae afford it.

what i meant was, for its price tag - roughly 118 total, you can literally get a 4870 from sellers here, am i wrong? but the thing is, this is something, seems as if im only paying a premium to get the newest tech..and it seems to be back on stock today..really..really..crunching my fingers..then again, i have no use for a 4870; sigh..

the 4770 is a nice solid card, but if you can get a good 4870 then do it, the 4870 is simply a more powerful card!

Yeah I know It hurts I thought this would be an amazingly popular card well not amazingly but you know what I mean! Guess if it doesn't pick up soonish it never will

Yeah!! I think its due to the fact that you cant get them ANYWHERE!! lol stock is rubbish! I tried to get my hands on a 2nd XFX with the premium 2 slot cooler like mine, one there was no stock and two the price had gone up 20 GBP!!!

Hey everybody, I'm to am an owner of an HD 4770 (sapphire brand)

Anyway, how has this card over clocked for you all? I'm new to overclocking, but with software I could only get my card to get to

GPU clock: 825
Memory Clock: 840

My card idles around 54*C
And when I run fur mark with it overclocked it gets to almost 84*C

is this running really hot? what are all of yours running like?
I also see that most people get there memory clock really high, around 890 my screen went blank, maybe its a cooling problem.

are you using the modded config file and rivatuner?? that seems to be the best OCer for the 4770, if so, then you may just have an unlucky card
what are your fan speeds, and ambient temp of your PC??
