Once I find this cards max potential I'am flashing the Bios to those settings.
mind telling us the cooler/volts/bios/oc program/etc ?

i.e all your settings.

Was not too sure on what new card to get since i sold my 9600gt but the 4770 looks like the card i should go for as its not that expensive and a decent performer. Should i get this card over a 9800GT as thats the card i was planning on getting untill now.

-Stock orange heatsink thing.
-Asus Top Bios
-CCC (Clocks)
- Asus Smart Doctor (Volts)
- I couldn't get the core fully stable past 945 with 1.3V
- Memory went fine to 1200 although I haven't artifact tested it yet, Waiting for a cooler before I do so.

As for no voltage I'am sitting at 870 Core (anything further gave instant errors and bands across the screen)
Memory I'm at 1000 currently once again untill I get a cooler with ram sinks.

And about coolers I did some measurements and research and it looks like the Accelero, Accelero Twin Turbo, Scythe Musashi and Xigmatek Battle-Axe all would mount fine (have 43mm holes) However on the 4770 the chip is farther back than previous cards so the cooler would conflict with the back of your case.

My question now is do ANY of the HR-03's have 43mm mounting holes?

I'm building a rig for my friend and I'm thinking about doing 2x 4770s. What would be the best chipset to use with this? I don't know much about crossfire compatible chipsets. Also, what is all this about an ASUS BIOS?

Chipset, I'd go with either of the FX chipsets depending of if your doing AM2 or AM3. If he wants onboard graphics for any reasons then go with a GX.
(PM for further questions or recommendations on the mobo, to keep this thread on topic)

As for the Asus bios, Asus has a 1000 Core and 1200 Memory limit in CCC rather than 830/850. Also the Asus Bios allows you to adjust voltages using Asus Smart Doctor.

I guess ASUS made a 4770?
Which brand would be the best quality?
I've seen MSI, Powercolor, Sapphire, and XFX. I was thinking about the XFX slot cooler card.

XFX

The "media edition", the non-reference cooler, finally hit some (web)stores over here in Holland, I'll be a happy owner in a week or so

afaik the zalman coolers fit.

what's the asus top bios go to ?

very interested, if someone makes a 1gb version i'll likely ditch my 4850 for this.
