I swapped my powercolor for an asus Dark knight today.Both 4870's except the asus i have now is 512mb,not 1gb and oc's much better.


I felt the asus is better quality,and i dont feel the extra mem makes that much differance.I will only be keeping this till the 5XXX series comes out anyway.

I oc'ed my card to 980mhz and CCC said it was stable but I got lots of freezes in games. So I now have it at 950mhz GPU clock and 1030mhz mem clock. So far so all good and stable.

Here she is, my 4890 without the voltage tweaked at all. 955 core 1175 mem Furmark stable. Furmark bench score in screenshot along with GPU-z

ASUS HD4890, reference, non overclocked edition.

I've decided not to bother with a 4890,i was close to buying an xfx one,but its just a tweaked 48xx,so im gonna hold off and wait for 58xx to come out.My 512mb 4870 still runs my games maxxed out at 1680x1050 so what would i gain from a 4890?
