Is it possible to crossfire HD4850 with HD4770? Both cards are quite different, here are the specs for comparison:
__________________HD4850 Core: 625 Ram: 1980GDDR3 Bandwidth: 256-bit HD4770 Core: 750 Ram: 3200GDDR5 Bandwidth: 128-bit I'm interested in getting a HD4770 to crossfire with my HD4850, but are they compatible? Will there be issues crossfiring these 2 cards? Thanks in advance.

No, you cannot do that. Have to be same exact card.

No they do not have to be the same exact card.
Make sure they are the same series. 4870 will crossfire with 4850 and 4830, but not 4770 or 4670.

Don't have to be the same exact, just the same family, like 4870 + 4850. You'll need a 47xx with that one I believe.
This chart is outdated now, but it still gives you the general idea. Crossfire Combo Chart

You can get a HD4850 for less than a HD4770 anyways. And the HD4850 is faster.

According to this chart (which is outdated) you won't be able to crossfire two cards that are of different families (i.e. HD4650 and HD4850).
