yes....all on default. I have to say, this is the 2nd ATI product I bought and it will probably be the last. I am sure these card are wonderful but both times I had problems on installation/drivers. I also had 3 Nvidea products and it was slam bam simple install plug and play. I need to get this off my back its so aggravating, I booted in safe mode, uninstalled drivers and RAN DRIVER CLEANER. I also ran my registry cleaner and CCleaner to make sure all was gone. I checked for any ATI files and they were all gone. Nothing left..... Ok.. I switched cards around to ensure 2nd card worked. It does. I installed 1 card bingo... Plug and play and used 9.5 drivers and CCC. Rebooted..... Rebooted again and installed second card. Same deal. ![]() http://i435.photobucket.com/albums/q...death/gpu3.jpg ![]()

First of all you should avoid registry cleaning with Catalyst.
DCpro is fine as long as you only select ATI and nothing else ATI related(see my sig). I would try a system restore to a point before the registry cleaning. Should that fail a reformat is probably needed.

I think the grunion is right, it's the only option.
Just in case, back your files up if you need to reformat. Have you tried with Catalyst 9.6?

-See you tried 9.4's, did you try the 9.5s?
-Whose 4890's do you have? -When you installed the drivers, was it a "custom install"? If so, did you uncheck any of the file options? -Are you up to SP3 on your Win XP? -Do you have rivatuner installed? if so was it installed before adding second card? I made the "4 pci-e" comment in the beginning of the post b/c I know someone that never could get two 4850 cards to CF and he tried everything, even installing all 3 os's (xp, vista, win7).
