Default Visiontek Warranty 3rd Party Cooling
Im thinking of getting the Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME for my 4870x2. If I put it on my 4870x2 do I loose my warranty?

In short: yes.

AS long as there is not a warranty sticker, and you return it in the same condition as you received it(sans defect), they might still warranty it. I actually haven't heard much about their warranty service.

Never checked since I know they have absolutely no way to know if I messed with the cooler. And I doubt they'll even bother to check the TIM.

DId you replace the TIM with AS5 or anything else? or just use the stock TIM?

I'd use the best TIM you have on hand. However I've found that arctic silver ceramique usually looks closest to thier generic thermal crap while still being a good performer. personally I'd go w/ OCZ freeze which looks about the same but is a bit more blu-ish, also a top-end performer.
