Default Xfx hd 4890 psu help

hi im about to purchase an xfx brand 4890, my power supply only has 1 6 pin connector, can i use a two 4 pin to 6 pin converter on this card.

You could try to use the molex to 6pin converter. Test the card at stock with Furmark to ensure it's running correctly.

ya i heard it comes with a molex converter, but then i also heard it comes with a peice of paper saying it does not support molex converters(weird i kno)

I don't know if your Power supply will be able to run a 4890. You could try it but if your PSU blows it could take your entire rig with it.
You can try it and if it doesnt work you can buy a better one.

it says minimum requirement is 500w mine is 550w

Yes, But with a Powersupply there are also Amps on the 12V rails.
The 4890 recommends 32 Amps on your 12 volt rails. And you have exactly 32 Amps so, it should run but I wouldn't expect that Power supply to last too long with heavy gaming.
