Default is there any point in 4 PCIE x 16 slots?

msi 790fx-gd70.... is there any point?

can you realy hook up 4 graphics cards together to make a super system?

if so what should i put in there. atm i have an Iceq 4+ 1GB

just to put it out there. would having 4 4870X2's be 1 step too extreme?

any estimates to how fast that realy would be? :P

Yes you can hook up 4 graphics cards to make a "super system". You can't have 4 4870x2's in crossfire because crossfire only supports 4 cards. If it worked though you would have the fastest (gpu wise) computer on the planet.

The most powerful system right now actually utilizes tri-Sli with gtx 285s I believe. 2 4870x2 reviews are all over the internet, just google 4870 x2 quadfire or crossfirex. If your board supports SLI, pick up 3 gtx 285s if you want the most power. I think a close second is 4x4890s in crossfirex. Check out some reviews before you decide.

Any PCIE card will go in an x16 slot. It's better than having your mobo populated with x1 pcie if you need x4 or something. You could run 4x 4890 if you wanted probably would be overkill. quadfire is the limit and the x2 cards count as 2 each.

No point. Having 3 is nice, but 4 is unnecessary.
