Yh, I think thats way too many companies to have the issue. Its more like a compatibility issue with the hardware. Nothing damaging (I THINK) but annoying to the consumer.

I did install my ati card, then uninstalled nvidia driver, installed ati driver, used driver cleaners after i thought the performance was not so good and then I said **** it and did a clean install of windows 7 rc instead of vista. Sparta dude, Try safe mode and see if the noises happen, Its hard to test it in safemode cause the drivers arent loaded and so you cant start game or atitool or even internet for scrolling websites.

So far I have just had crap XFX products.

OK. Gigabyte is taking it too far as I have just tried Gigabyte once and it's on this computer so I don't think it's that bad but it's easy to hate everything when your CPU, GPU and PSU are messing up.

Corsair I have heard a lot of good things about but those who report of buzzing problem and these kind of problems have Corsair PSUs.

I agree with you a 100%. I use to have a XFX 680i Lt sli motherboard and I returned it 3 times. Then I got a gigabyte, this is also my first. Apart from my gigabyte mouse which the scroll wheel just broke

These noises are really pissing me off now. My newer of the two 650W is louder then the older one. I will rma the new one first. My GPU is also making the sounds but atleast it isnt that loud apart from ati tool which makes it whine and sqeel like pig. Most card does this though.

That's quite a impressive list for "crap products"

Ok so its a clean install, care to say exactly what you did during the install. I mean every detail. It sounds alot like a software issue.

If im coming across as rude >.> I'm sorry, don't mean to its just me naturally.

Had a XFX 8800GTS - broke down after 2 years or so, artifacts during some games and so on. Maybe not that bad but still bad imo. I never sent it in because artifacts was on some games only and I had to use DX 8 on source games instead of DX9.

You are not rude I am just thankful you are atleast responding and trying to help, thanks.

Clean install:
  • Got the computer home, all set up already.
  • Installed Windows XP
  • Installed LAN/Internet drivers from Gigabyte CD
  • Updated Windows to SP3 with all latest updates
  • Installed latest drivers for GPU and all drivers on the Gigabyte CD along with all the programs.
  • Problem. Buzzing noise, GPU activity goes high up when doing basic tasks, same with CPU (Installed AMD Overdrive for the CPU)

Open up ATi Catalyst Control Center then go to ATi Overdrive and check the Activity there in %. Move a window around and meanwhile have the ATi CCC window visible so you can see if the Activity % increases or not.
