I don't mean to pester you all with these questions, but I get better performance if I crossfire a 4870 and a 4850 rather than just two 4850s?

Your better off getting another 4850 and it will be cheaper.

Yes cause i'm pretty sure the 4870 will downclock to the 4850 clocks anyway.

Remember no matter what component you put in (Gpu,HDD or Ram) it will always clock to the lowest one.
