Default 4850 or 4890

Looking between these two video cards... I'm thinking of getting the 5xxx series next year... and I don't game a tremondous amout however my x1650pro is seeming a little dated. Which one would be the best bang for your buck the

Xfx 4890: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...L0C-_-14150359 at $190

or

Xfx gts 250: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150357 which comes with WoW and COD 5 for $115

One of these will be put into a new build

The 4890 is just about the best single GPU card out now (once you overclock it a bit).

Depending on your resolution, the gts 250 might be fine. If you only game at 1280x1024, then save some money and go for the gts 250. However, once you get to about 1440x900, the gts 250 starts to lose out to more powerful cards.

id say the 4890, they are nice cards. the GTS 250 is weak and will grow slower as better games come out. the 4890s will stay strong for awile to come.

Gts 250 will hold you off fine until ATI dx11 gpus come out. The only reason I would get it is for the free games. Also what CPU do you have? You could have a bottleneck there anyway.

They are similar in performance, so no.

What about this Sapphire 4870 with 2GB of GDDR5? Same price as the 4890 with double the memory.
