I want to use this thread to compare the two set ups. But before the card arrives (Asus 4890 TOP, dual fan) I'd like some predictions on what will be the outcome.
__________________I just ran 3dmark06 and the xfire got 18,805 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11667788 So....think that score will go up or down? Make your prediction for when the 4890 is OC'd, as the 4830's were OC'd so it's only fair. I don't expect it to go up, but I also don't care . I also plan on seeing what putting a 4830 with the 4890 does. Should be a fun little experiment time!

they're both about the same but 4830 crossfire would slightly win. do share some benchies if you get that 4890.

The 4830 in CF is the equiv to a single 4870. The 4890 should increase your score.

If those 4830's are overclocked they might beat the 4890 at lower resolutions. But with AA and more complex features on, as well as higher resolutions, the 4890 would win.

4890 will be slightly better in games that don't scale too well with CrossFire, but it also, negates the headaches of running multi-gpu's.

Your new 4890 should get the almost the same scores and frames as your 4830 CF except in crysis, the 4890 will pull ahead.
