Quick way to compare 2x 4890's with different batches? - Overclock.net

Hi everyone.

I've sold one of my toxics and I'd like to find out which one who overclock the best. They're both at stock bios and cooling.

So I'd like to test these cards tonight, quickest way possible. Which one is the best.

Is the only way to increase Mhz 1 by 1 and run 3Dmarks 10000 times?

Do you have catalyst? If so you can increase more that one MHz at a time.

Yes, ofc. But I don't really know what I can expect from a 4890 Toxic. How much mhz at the core?

A really good one can hit 1 ghz on air cooling. Most Toxics should be able to hit 950+ if you turn the fan up. I suggest moving the core up by 10 mhz at a time, then back down after the first sight of artifacts.

Both of them run at 1ghz at the core in CF, so there is more juice in them

And 4890 Toxic are stock at 960mhz core speed, factory clocked.

Toxics run higher than that at stock.

On my Toxic I was able to hit 1025 core 1110 memory 100% stable with 30 minutes+ of Furmark. Toxics are great cards. One of the best, if not the best, single GPU solution on the market before the 58xx series came out.

Yupp. I've been running pretty high clocks too...and yes they are at least the best single gpu card for the price at least
