HD 5850 Voltage question
Hi Ocn
__________________I got my XFX HD5850 yesterday. I have increased the voltage to 1.15 using MSI after burner i'm now running at 850MHz Core and 1125MHz Mem. I'm using AMD GPU Clock tool to overclock with. What is safe Voltage on the stock coolers

I think the 5850 is hardware protected, were you can not raise the voltage to high. But still just take it easy and watch your temps.
Maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

Some people have pushed them to 1.4v but with stock cooler do not go over 1.3, 5850 should max ~ 1050Mhz core.

Cool 1.3v it is then. going to try 1000MHz core

I am at 1.2v 950/1200 stable, but my fan seems to not work properly

1.2 volts here 950 core and 1220 memery ,furmark stable for 10 minutes . but i think i has more to give . stil searching . 2on day off the card .
