Forgot to mention that the sticker is peeling off in one corner, not that it matters, but...

I tried the card in a friend's rig just now, and same thing it's been doing.

How is it Nvidia > ATI? you dont make sense... ATI makes the chip it has nothing to do with the cooling of the card Its XFX fault....

This is why you either get a sapphire or diamond card when going Ati or just stick with the trusty nvidia cards.

the current 5800 series are REFERENCE cards... just different stickers on them... That is hardware wise... BUT the BIOS is a variation of ATI's original(barebones) BIOS... My guess that either XFX screwed up on the BIOS... or they RECIEVED a bad batch of cards

I don't think this has anything to do with Ati or Nvidia cards right? It's about the companies who have final touches on the cards before release them. Companies such as XFX, Asus,etc.. not Ati or Nvidia cards imo.

Lol. It would be one thing if you responded to his post as you would have missed the white text. However, it's another thing when you quote it and the white text shows up, let alone it showing when you were looking at the code while typing the post.

Also, OP, sorry for your misfortune. It's not good to be XFX when this stuff happens. I will stop recommended XFX for ATI cards as well as there were so many issues with the 4890's as well. GL with the RMA. Hopefully they don't treat you like a child who has no idea what it is doing. I hate it when companies do that through RMA.
