I waited for him to come back out and asked if he was the driver for my area and he was, he unlocked the truck and bingo my box from newegg was on it. I rushed back to the office to snap some pics of the unboxing. Now all I have to do is wait until 5 so I can get off and go home to install these puppies. I swear its worse than being a kid on christmas eve. Enjoy the pics.

Yes it is! O/T I know but I have been a Bama fan since I was born, I got it from my dad. When I was just a baby we lived in Huntsville and moved to Memphis when I was 7. I have been the only Bama supporter amongst my group of friends but over the last few years I have started seeing more and more Bama stuff over here. Where were they all at when we were going through all the coaches and tough times? Fairweather fans, gotta love em. My favorite memory was the 1993 Sugar Bowl against Miami. All of my friends were pulling for Miami, I was only 15 at the time but there was nothing better in all my life of being at that party knowing we just won our 12th NC. Pure joy!

I do not have any way to test otherwise but everything I have read so far said it is only a minimal 1%-2% drop in performance over a 16x 16x setup.

There shouldn't be much of a drop in performance. + When the new drivers are released you should be fine, but x16 would still be nice. When you get your hand on some more money you can get yourself a better motherboard. Even though I personally think that the UD3P is a great friggin' mobo.

Ya, it should be minimal really, cause you can't really saturate the bandwith its capable of even @ x8 x8. Really nice rig you have there. Crank that CPU up and watch it FLY. You should be able to get into the 20k mark with that setup easily.

Well after overclocking my cpu to 4.005 GHz I reran 3dmark Vantage just now and got a nice increase in my results I posted in post #5. This is with the cards in CF, still at stock volts and clocks themselves with just the bump in cpu speed from a 3.0 stock speed. A gain of almost 4k in the cpu score, a little over 3k in the gpu score and 3.5k in the total score. Next I'm going to try working on the cards o/c. Enjoy!
