Default gpu question

i have a 4850 1gb card at the moment but i was just looking around and i just noticed how cheap the 5770 1gb cards are. in the real world is it worth upgrading, will there be any real perfomace gains for my rig?

thanks

ps fot the same price i can get a 4890

your best off just getting another 4850 and going crossfire price/performance wise. upgrade to dx11 in a year or two when it actually matters. %_%

a 4850x2 is faster than a 4890, I'm guessing 30% faster.

CF is just one of those things you have to do early.
I've done this like 3 times, Ill be looking to upgrade my gpu, and of course CF comes into mind. But, then I see all these good single gpu cards and be like, well, ill get one of those and i can CF them later. Well, when the "later" comes, I usually just do the same thing over again.
