Question 5850 bandwidth

Will a PCIe 2.0 16x slot running at 8x supply enough for 5850?

It should be just fine. the only time you may see it as a problem is if you try doing tri-fire.

You will only lose maybe ≈2% performance when comparing x16 to x8 so you will be fine.
