Default 5870 temps high?

hello im running 2x 5870s in xfire my idle temps are 45 on first card and 40 on 2nd. this seems alot higher than other peoples. this is on stock voltage and no ocing

take one out and check temps
crossfire will build up heat in between them

What are your full load temps. because you have two, the top card will get some heat from the bottom card as heat rises. Try making the inside of your PC more tidy for better airflow and add case fans.

Those temps not close to hot and one card will always be warmer than the other, heat rises.

load temps are in the mid 80s with fan on auto. thanks for input was just making sure. i'm gonna be watercooling these in the next month or so

Mid 80's is more than normal mate. Dont worrie. Just dont go over 90c if you can help it.

Try not to overclock if your temperatures are too high. At least you don't have to overclock your 5870 because you have two of them.
