Default HD4870 X2 Still For Sale?

Hey
Ok i am just considering the future upgrades for my rig and with christmas around the corner i figured iwould upgrade my GPU
I ordered some new ram today and i will buy a new PSu for chistmas

What should i do in terms of graphics cards?

I am tempted to go crossfire or even HD4870 tri fire if i can find a 4870 X 2
But the nthe DX11 fuetures temp me in to buying a 5850 or such

What would you guys do?

Just pick up another 4870. On a 22 inch I could max out anything with 2 4870's.

Tri fire will be a waste unless you get a bigger monitor

Agreed with above, dual 4870's should suffice just fine. and if the thermaltake toughpower 700 watt is your current supply, it should also be enough power.

For the money, get either a 5850 or a 5870 for a bit more. I went from 2x4870's in crossfire, and it's a very substatinal upgrade to the 5870. I can max out Crysis at 1920 x 1080 with 8xAA and 16xAF with around 32FPS. Before I'd be lucky to get 41FPS with 0xAA and 16xAF.

Get another card or find a 4870 x2. And crysis @ 32fps would make me sick.

Those card with a 128 bit bus just doesn't do it for me. But the low power and low heat is a good thought though.
