Default Sapphire Vapor-X?

How are the temp's on this compared to the reference card's.It's only $10 more so the price doesn't matter. Are the temp's much better with it?I plan on buying one if it ever come's back in stock. My baked card shot crap's again so all I have is my laptop at the moment.

If someone catches this card in stock at Newegg only I would appreciate the head's up via P.M. please.Thank's

My Toxic is choked for air because the fan is right up against my Diamond with the reference cooler. It still runs a couple of degrees cooler than the Diamond though.

The biggest issue for me is the volume of the fan. It's a larger fan and it isn't a blower. It is MUCH quieter, even up to higher speeds. Because of the style of the fan, it blends in better with case fans while the blower style on the reference cards has a much higher pitched, thus more noticeable, sound.

I run the Toxic at 70% and the Diamond at 40%. I can still hear the Diamond over the Toxic, too.

Also, which one do you want? There's a Vapor-X and Toxic version of many ATI cards.

I want a 5870 I would get a Sapphire Vapor-X or a reference. The only other 2 I would consider are the XFX or Asus. These are the only brand's I would buy just because of personal preference.I need one asap I am down until I get one.I just liked the vapor design I just have never had an ATI card so I wasn't sure if the vapor was that much better.I just think the best buy for the money right now is a 5870 at least for the top end and being a gamer.I can't wait for Nvidia, hell look's like it will be well into next year for those.I will be watchin the egg like a hawk lol.

I would suggest Vapor-X if you can get it.

I was looking at a Vapor-X 4890, and was TOTALLY gonna go with it. Then I remembered the 5770.

The Vapor-X edition of the 4890 was featured in the latest CPU magazine as a great card, very quiet, and did some awesome cooling.

Wait... you would get the 5770 over a 4890? The 4870 outperforms a 5770, let alone a 4890. I guess it has DX11, Eyefinity, lower temperatures, and puts out less heat, but soon enough the 5850 will be around $225.

I'd wait for the prices to come down and the drivers to give better performance. It loses to the 4870 in all three of those reviews.
