Default Is there MSI 5870 owner?

Hello,

I just ordered newegg open box MSI 5870 for $280ish.
I was looking for sapphire 5870, but it was never in stock, so I ordered open box msi 5870.

I never purchased open box item before, so I am little concerned.

I see many reviews for sapphire, xfx, asus, but no MSI 5850/5870 thread or infos.

I know they're all reference card from ATI, but is msi also worth buying?

msi didnt used to be worth buying, they used to have some trash products, however lately they have been picking up their quality. i personally have never done anything open box, but as far as the card/brand go, im willing to bet you will be ok

Don't be. I know tons of people who have bought open-box items from Newegg and had a positive experience. You have to realize that you are working with a more than reputable seller as well. In other words, if you have even the slightest issue (regardless of their policy), they will help make things right. Enjoy your card! It should work amazingly!

I don't know specifically about the 5870, but MSI's other recent cards have gotten great reviews, and seem to me to represent some of the best values on the market.

Yea, they're all same reference card, but i think msi 5 series wasn't really popular especially in this forum. It was all about xfx, sapphire, or asus

I'll update you guys when I get my open box msi 5870.
