So I installed my LiteOn Blu-ray drive tonight and installed the PowerDVD 8 BD Edition that came with it. When I try to play a movie, it shows an error and the runs a system check to see if I'm compatible with BD playback. It says my graphics card isn't and it is also telling me that my monitor is HDCP ready.
__________________I know for a fact that my 4870 is fine. And before anyone asks, I updated the driver today to the latest version. I also know that my Asus VW246H is 100% HDCP ready. That is half the reason I bought it. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

hmm.
that is very odd indeed. Maybe, the software that came with the drive isnt W7 compatible or something. I would uninstall it and try to put a newer version or something on. Or try different software

Just make sure it's a DVI or HDMI input and that your GPU is only hooked up to the monitor that would be displaying the movie.

wait? so i can't hook up my monitor and plasma at the same time? i thought the whole restriction on this was with HDCP you were allowed to stretch the image across a dual screen setup. i didn't know that this applied to cloned displays. and yes, all my displays are hooked up with dvi to hdmi cables
