Default 5870 and crysis

ok I just picked up both things as stated in the thread title a 5870 and crysis warhead I am using my tv as a monitor for now and the res is 1360 x 768 (720p) I am pulling about 15 frames average and havent seen but max 20 I believe I am using the current drivers 9.10 cata. When I read on the forums I see people pulling average 20s I think and getting abour 30 whats going on >.<... is it because of my monitor that its not getting its full potential?

By the way I maxed all graphical settings out.

That definitely is weird, have you overclocked your card at all? I get high 30's or low 40's with my rig at 1920x1200 so your card definitely should be spewing out the frames.

Weird. I get about 30 FPS on a 1080P setup, all settings maxed and 8xAA, including with 16xAF in CCC control panel.

Doubt it'd even matter, but, are patches 1.2 / 1.21 installed?

The patches really were more for dual GPU setups, and even then they didn't boost performance by a 15 fps which is what Freezen should be getting with his 5870.

Huge misconception right there. A lower resolution will ALWAYS require less computations and will therefore offer increased performance compared to higher resolutions. At no time will a video card ever offer higher frame rates at a higher resolution than a lower one.

try reinstalling drivers. I have an issue with Borderlands and Windows 7 64bit. I have to reinstall the ATI drivers if I want the game to run fast. It doesnt require restart, but if I do restart, game runs crap again and have to repeat.

Just a suggestion
