I've given up on 5800 series too... ridiculous. For me it's down to 4770 x2 or a 4890 for 6 months - and resell the card to my brother (who has my old 7600GT I just gave him).

something to think about with 5770. If gaming only, yes - it's nice. But remember it does NOT do double precision - if you intend on crunching with it when you're not gaming (maximizing your investment).

Full ATI support on BOINC now...(as of last week)...I updated my thread:
http://www.overclock.net/ati/570223-...ease-more.html

My dream was to crunch with 1 5870 or 2 5850's........guess it will have to wait.

Ps... oh yeah, the frames on games would be nice too! mmmm Eyefinity

To the OP, pretty sure Micro Center has them in stock, but they do not show on their website. I went into the one here in Dallas and they had them in the back. Just a thought.

By the way, here is the HD5850:

Have Fry's price match Newegg

fry's sucks at price-matching. I tried to have them price-match microcenter for an i7 920 and I called several different fry's in the area and all of them said: "the microcenter has to be in a 20 miles radius to be a valid competitor" and then when I called the only fry's that was in that radius, I was told that they don't even price-match processors. Fry's a big ripoff if you ask me.
