Just to be sure, is the Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X a reference PCB?

Sorry that this won't be helpful but couldn't you just reflash back to the stock BIOS using your IGP as output instead of the video card? I've done it with other cards but I'm not sure if this is the same.

I have a secondary card I could flash from, but don't feel like going through the hassle. Thanks for the advice though.

I think its reference. This is just speculation though because the 5870 is still new and I wouldn't think sub-companies would be making their own cards yet.
BTW I really want that card. How quiet is it? and how awesome does it look in person? Thnx.

Asus
__________________It looks very good in person. The fan never goes above the lowest setting (21% or something) and after 10 minutes of Furmark it goes to about 70C at the lowest fan speed still! On lowest setting it is completely inaudible, but I run it at 45%, which is barely audible and it goes to about 62C load @ 900/1300 using Furmark.
