Default Trouble overclocking my 5870 crossfirex setup
Ok, I am having some issues overclocking. I can get it stable at 1000/1300mhz on both cards but then there is this weird twitching on my screen but when I'm in game it's perfectly fine. Could this be because of different manufacturer's? Windows 7? Immature drivers? Or am i doing something wrong? Btw I'm using MSI Afterburner as rivatuner/evga precision does not work. Also when I game and exit, msi afterburner shows that gpu2 is barely being used. Any ideas? Thanks. I tried using to of the crossfire bridges and am now only using one.

Xfired cards never oc as well as single cards. I have only ever had one xfire setup that gave great oc. It was a pair of 4830s and they clocked as well together as they did alone. You may also be experiencing a stutter or microstutter. Read up on it and see if the descriptions match your problem.

the stutter is only experienced on the desktop though.
