Ok I never got a chance to OC my old 4850 which is in my second build. Anyways CCC limit OC the card, the top I can go is 650mhz core from stock 625mhz. The card is powercolor 4850 with 512mb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131162. And my temp never goes above 64c.

I have tried to flash the vbios with other powercolor bios, but with any bios I flash, I can't seem to get video drivers installed . I tried the latest RBE from techpowerup to edit bios, but getting same error.

Anyone who succesfully removed OC limit on this card please help.

Just use RivaTuner, that has no limit.

Yes do the above thing and once u find your maximum stable OC then use RBE to edit your biops in these values so u wont need any software after that!

CCC limited me to 700Mhz on my HD4850s. Does the powercolor card really limit it a 25MHz max OC? Wow...yeah I definately would play wuth those BIOS.

I was able to use RBE to change the max...but it capped out at 705MHz for stability. The other 4850 capped at 675MHz no matter what I used for voltage. So i just flashed back to the original bios on both with the exeption of the 100% fan speed fix.
