run Furmark.
Go dl and when you open it up, click on "stability test" and click "extreme burn mode" if the screen doesnt artifact then your good

Does the card artifact at stock speeds? If yes, then it's given up the ghost for sure. If not, then your GPU/GDDR overclock was just unstable.

Ok, it looks like your card's likely blown. Ah, since the card is overclocked you likely voided any warranty you had with the manufacturer, so trying for an RMA with that is probably not a good idea.
There is a small chance you have corrupted drivers. A clean install on a spare HD will establish whether this is the case or not. If you choose to do this check the fan as you reinstall. It should actually be spinning. People on OCN are selling 4870s and 4890s. May as well snag your replacement soon as I'm 99% sure your card's overclock has sent it down the tubes.

Once you OC a video card, can you not RMA it?
__________________Cause if not, I guess thats why people buy already OCed cards sold by the manufacturer.. such as the HIS hd 4890 turbo +

What? No. There is no way for them to even know if the card has been OCd(unless you have a custom BIOS). Go ahead and RMA, OP. I am betting the memory is shot.
