Default Should I buy another 4890?

i currently have a dead 4890 sitting on my desk. died with a nice big ploom of smoke. currently waiting on an rma number from HIS' us partner. so should i buy another one? (the turbo plus is on special right now)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161298

and have cross fire when i eventually get my other one back. i really cant stand being limited to my laptop. i duno what do you guys think?

edit: nvidia cards have issues on this chipset. tried both a 7800gt and a 7900gtx and read that other people had the exact same issues with this bored and nvid cards.

If you have the money, I say go for it. You have an FX board with nice 16x PCI-e lanes, and a solid PSU asking to be challenged. You'll have a kickass gaming system then.

Voted buy the second and eventually CF. A single 4890 is powerful and once your old one comes back from RMA, you'll have a setup that rivals a 5870.

I say buy the 4890 now, then when the HIS gets back from RMA you stick them in CF and have a setup thats better than a 295.
Then, when DX11 catches on or something, you could sell them.
But I would CF 4890's thats a good setup.

I say go for it. Get the 4890, and XFire it with the other one (when you get it back). They generally scale extremely well in Crossfire... and together, they're faster than a single 5870.
