As the title says this thread is on the topic of World of Warcraft Frame Rate performance.

That being stated I have a question:
Can this run World of Warcraft Maxed out with a playable FPS

I am in a raiding guild so it has to handle raids (25 man).
Only reply if you played and or play World of Warcraft.

All 3 systems should have no problem running WoW in maxed settings, I can play WoW maxed with my rig and it's not near as powerful as those.

My sig rig averages in between 25fps lowest(dalaran and flying through grizzly hills) with max settings(including shadows and vertical sync @ 75mhz) and video card maxed (catalyst AI wide tent 8x-AA and all that other crap). In 25 man raids I usually are between 45-75fps(maxed at 75 due to Vertical Sync) 45ish during fights.My 4850 is Oced from like 650 to 730 though..... Just to use as comparison.

TBCH, I don't thing the 4650 can max shadows and particle density with max AA ect. The 4850 Over clocked to 715+ or a 4870 should be sufficient. Also I would suggest either over clocking (to 3ghz to be in the clear) or getting a faster processor.

Nauticus so are you saying if I overclocked the 4650 via the built in ATI drivers.(forgot what is was called.)
That I could do decent raiding frame rates with good settings?

Bear in mind that WoW is mostly CPU dependent, a good CPU is going to yield better results than a good graphics card. Your HD is also pretty important.

WoW is a game that relies a lot more on your CPU than on your video card's capabilities. This is because the game has so much going on at any given time, while not really using high end graphics. Also has something to do with the game engine.

Basically, if you want to get a computer that can run WoW extremely well, as in 120+fps with all settings maximized, while in raids, look for a great processor (i7 920, Phenom II x4, etc).

These computers will cost a bit more, but the results will be outstanding compared to the three computers which you listed.

With that being said, any of those computers would be able to handle the game, but I wouldn't expect superb performance.

This is the abolute best AMD platform for price/performance that I can find. It's a great computer, judging by the specs.

The Intel systems using i7s are a lot more expensive, but probably 5-25% better. I'd recommend the AMD system, however.

I'd honestly recommend building your own computer. However, barring that, look for a computer that has a nice processor, a medium-end video card, and a good hard drive. It's a very good thing to have WoW installed on a fast hard drive, for all sorts of reasons.

also, if i can just overclock teh card and use the system above with mid shadows and detail what raid performance would I look at, I don't have the most money in the world but dont want a computer to get 5 fps in a 25 uld raid.

Overclocking depends a lot on the specific motherboard that you've got, and and I really can't say what your specific board is.

It's impossible to accurately say what FPS you would get. There are many factors to keep in mind. Your performance will be quite good though, assuming that everything else checks out.

I mean with the ddr3 the quad and teh gphx card doing fine and no wierd problems,
techinacally it could do decent fps in 25's/
playable?
