Default CF 5770's 2 year Future Proof

I know that nothing is future proof but am just looking for a general oopinion as to how long this setup would las b4 an upgrade was needed. I want a single 5850 so i would have a spare slot for future, however they are like goldust. I am not a Crysis buff, and mostly play games like COD, BF, and Diablo.. my biggest concern is the res I game at and the amount of use i would get out of the 5770's b4 an upgrade was needed. TBH my 8800GT is only now proving to be a problem for me.

No probs with those demands. You could still wait one more month and get a 5850 though.

CF 5770 is about the same price as a 5850 but it's better than a 5850 in most cases.

Also why is everybody saying it's out of stock, all the cards are in stock.
