This core seems to be moddable with the flashed BIOS, even though it has lasercut? Can anyone verify this/has anyone tried?

My card can take XT/XTPE speeds, so no worries about that.

There are no hardmods for the R480. Ive never seen a R480 core with a lasercut. Head over to the x800/x850 pipe config fuses thread. (Link in sig)

It's got Es, so I think not . But surely with the R480 core flashed it can?!

You can flash the BIOS if you wish but unlocking the pipes is a completely different matter. From the information you gave me about your ATI Tool fuses, 4 pipes are permanently locked.

No, Im pretty sure you wont get the pipes no matter what you try. If you do the lasercut mod you still wont get the pipes as they are locked via die.

Do you have pics of your card? Ive never seen a R480 with a lasercut.
