Default Dont know what to do.

I have a Sapphire Radeon X700 Hybird edition video card. Now Im not sure of the full specs of this card as I threw out the box the moment I put the card in my system.

All I can remember is that its a 256meg card with 8pipelines.

Heres the question, im new to the whole overclocking thing and would like to boost the core clock from 400 to w.e and memory from 250.

No idea what to do, please help!!!

P.S. I have newest catalyst drivers installed.

Instal a new cooler, instal omegadriver and atitool. Run atitool to find max core and memory, search for artifacs. If there are no artifacs set your max core and mem. Your done.

I installed omega drivers, had atitool alrdy installed, dont need a new cooler cuz i have water cooling hooked to it, and i oced to about 600core and 550 mem.. Still choppy as ****, my 3dmark05 score was a painful 2454... all 3 videos reported 10fps, even when i used default clocks

You overclocked that card from 400core and 250mem to 600core and 550mem?! And you have no artifacs?

Wow, thats a very nice overclock. thing is, the x700 isnt a very good card, nominally it falls below 9800Pro (A Near 6600GT Equalivant), which is a midrange card.. you shouldnt expect much from it.

Also, the reason why you are not getting that much FPS is possibly because your memory or CPU is bottlenecking it (Which would explain the very low aquamark).. Please fill in your System Specs under USERCP on the top of the fourm.

Nice, my 9600xt is one artifacted. I got only 15% on performance with new cooling But it sometimes has temperatures about 20C. What score did you have before you clocked it and are you sure you have set the clocked settings during 3dmark?
