At It Again

So last week i posted about this girl. Anyway i dumped her. The reason why is because im a selfish jerk or thats what she told me. This girl comes over to my house on the day i get fear 3. I get it going on my computer and she comes over like 15 minutes later and i had already told her what i had going on. she said i was a nerd and im say ok what ever. Fear games have always been some of my favorite. So i am playing the game she comes over and starts talking so i turn the surround sound up so i can hear everything. she starts gripping about this and i say you can... read more

Quickie On Bulldozer Threads

Here's a brief missive about the upcoming Bulldozer line of AMD APUs: At this point, AMD is staying silent on an official basis regarding the performance, potential capabilities, overclocking prowess, pricing, and any and all other information regarding Bulldozer. Perhaps as a consequence, performance computing websites and forums everywhere are alive with speculation and conjecture regarding AMD's upcoming offerings. Speaking purely for myself (and not necessarily as OCN's AMD section editor), I find the spread of rumors, conjecture, and speculation to be... read more

Rushmore Powder Coating Services Available On Ocn

  • by Praxx

Hey there. I am interested in what you might be able to do with a TJ11. I'd love to hear any ideas you have, and would be happy to spring for something different, especially if its the first one you'll have done. I figure if I'm going to spend this kind of money on a case, then I might as well go for broke! I am brand new to these forums, and to mod buiding in genral, but I am intrigued to tackle this project, but wana do it right! read more

Coming Soon

A brief update: I’ve not been active on the blogosphere lately. Life has happened while I was busy making other plans, to pinch a line from John Lennon. All of my blogs have seen a reduction in activity. This will soon change, especially on this particular blog. Very soon, this blog (which will be cross-posted on my Joe-Pinions: Art of Tech Wordpress blog) will be quite a bit more active than it has ever been. I can’t say precisely yet how or why this is going to happen, except to drop the hint that the substantial increase in activity will be due to the... read more

Virtualization

It's just awesome... My Dad works with them at his profession (software engineer at Hormel Foods) and he set up a Type 1 HyperVisor at his house. He started out basically at the same level as I did. Only one I was used to using was VMware which is a type 2 hypervisor. Runs off the host operating system, Windows or whatever, but the one that he uses at work and home is called XenServer by Citrix. (Did you know that they created RDP for Microsoft?) Which is a baremetal, and type 1 like I stated earlier. In the way they use it at Hormel Foods it is very efficient. The... read more

Upgrading And Case Modding

Well, I finally thought it were time to do some upgrading - and then thought I'd try to do some light case modding as well! This will be my first attemt to modify a case, so I'm a bit sceptical about how the result will be. But guess I'll just have to wait and see! A little while ago my last watercooling setup crapped out on me. For somewhat reason the coolant had started to get thicker, and it solidified completely within my external radiator/tank/pump and I judged it for dead as I did not see any reason to pick it all appart. Why this happened I still don't know.... read more
