Ok.. Got my 24 hour stability at 5Ghz.. But, I want to go further.. I decided to drop a little $$ on upgrading my cooling system to drop the temps a lot.. Right now, I am hovering at around 80 under load on the CPU, and I want them at least 10-15 less.. My Goal? Stability at 5.2Ghz and nice and cool.. I have heard from many people that it is possible to overclock ram to 1866 with phenom quad core processor. I can only get mine overclocked to 1720MHz at the most and sometimes it doesn't even work. What do I have to do to get it that high. My motherboard supports up to 2133 and my ram supports up to 2000MHz. I have the ram set at 1600MHz and the bus speed up to 215 which brings my ram up to 1720MHz. If I go 216 on the FSB it wont work. I've tried raising voltages but I'm afraid to go to high even though my motherboard can probably support it. Im affraid to fry my... read more

Here is the latest version of my soon to be built gaming rig. I hope this will be the final version with just a few additions later on like more fans, an ssd and a bluray drive a few months after completion. This on newegg is $1212.76. I am sure that most of you know that despite all our struggles and best intentions, sometimes things just do NOT work out to our liking or favor. I have been struggling with this for some time and can say that it only gets harder as life goes on. Purchased a XFX HD5670 roughly a year ago and it is failing rapidly, got in touch with the seller and they are going to allow a few extra days for me to return, they are also allowing me to swap for a similar price or pay the difference, i have a number of options either a msi or sapphire 6670 hd, or a vtx 6770 hd, now I know the vtx is a higher version but are they worth the risk???? read more
